Jimmy Anderson served in the Biden-Harris administration as the director of veterans engagement at the White House. Before that, he served at the Department of Veterans Affairs as the deputy White House liaison and special advisor for diversity, equity, and inclusion to the secretary of Veterans Affairs. Jimmy is a career Intelligence Officer who currently serves in the Air Force Reserve stationed at the Pentagon and he is a term member with the Council on Foreign Relations. His past fellowships include the Center for a New American Security, Centre for International Defence and Policy, and the Truman National Security Project. Jimmy was a Fulbright scholar to Canada and is a native of Columbia, South Carolina. The views expressed in this article represent those of the author alone.
