January 2024 - Newsroom Founder Selected for Columbia’s First Decade Award
On the eve of The War Horse’s eighth birthday, our founder Thomas Brennan was recognized by Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism with the First Decade Award. The award recognizes members of the alumni community who make meaningful and impactful contributions to the Fourth Estate. The same month, TWH reporter Sonner Kehrt presented to Military Veterans in Journalism about the intersection of extremism and the military.
