The daughter of a Marine who fought in the Vietnam War talks about what it’s like growing up with a father who suffered from PTSD and cancer.

Andrea Madden lives in Lee, Massachusetts, with her two cats, Lovecraft and Hawthorne, and her guinea pig, Clark Gable. She earned her master's degree in public history from Southern New Hampshire University. She currently works as the events coordinator at Ventfort Hall and the site supervisor at Herman Melville's Arrowhead. She works in historic preservation and archival management to ensure America’s historic sites are preserved and open to everyone for decades to come.
