She holds a bachelor’s degree in cultural anthropology with minors in women’s and gender studies, and linguistics. She is a freelance writer and a Ph.D. student at the University of Texas at San Antonio researching military communities; masculinities; and barriers to wellness for women, gender-expansive, and LGBTQ+ veterans and military members.
