Air Force veteran witnessed the military discriminate against Black service members in the 1970s and the changes that followed the Travis Air Force Base race riot.
Mark Miller
Mark Miller served in the Air Force for 25 years as a public affairs practitioner in both print and broadcast career fields before retiring in 1995 as a senior master sergeant. He served at five CONUS and five overseas bases. He served in Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm. In June of 1987, he was ordained as a Roman Catholic deacon and served military communities in Germany, Saudi Arabia, Kelly AFB, TX, and Fort Benjamin Harrison, IN. He holds bachelor's and master's degrees in secondary education.
