Paul Szoldra is the managing editor at The War Horse. He has spent more than a decade in national security journalism, including serving as editor-in-chief of Task & Purpose, where he led the publication through 400% audience growth and a successful acquisition. Previously, he was a military and defense editor at Business Insider and an editor at Anduril Industries. His reporting and editing have covered the Pentagon, the Department of Veterans Affairs, defense technology, and military accountability, including the Eddie Gallagher war crimes case, for which he served as an advisor and on-camera contributor for the Alex Gibney documentary The Line on Apple TV+. He is a Marine Corps veteran who served eight years on active duty, including a combat deployment to Afghanistan. He has a bachelor's degree in entrepreneurship from the University of Tampa.
